Basic Situation of the Laundry Industry in Hong Kong

ILSA Laundry in Hong Kong

ILSA Laundry in Hong Kong opened its first laundry in 2000 and joined the laundry industry. In spite of the laundry chain, ILSA Laundry also opened a laundry factory to receive business in garment and linen cleaning, promoting the diversified development of the company. Since 2003, it has expanded to the sales of laundry equipment and the construction of laundries. In 2012, it joined the Hong Kong Laundry Service Association. At the same time, it is developing itself, serving the interests of the laundry industry and contributing to the improvement of the level of business service and the development of the technical level in the industry.

Hong Kong Laundry Services Association

Hong Kong Laundry Association was established in 2012. The purpose of the establishment is to summon people from the Hong Kong laundry industry and build a professional reciprocal platform for the laundry industry. By this platform, Through this platform, people can unite the laundry industry, speak out to the government and society on behalf of the laundry industry, and fight for the rights and interests of the industry. A set of professional and safety standards for the laundry industry in Hong Kong can also be established after that, which enhances the public image.

At present, more than 200 practitioners have passed the government’s industry qualification recognition.

Benefits of the Establishment of the Association

The association has won a lot of rights and interests for various enterprises in the laundry industry in Hong Kong after its establishment. For example, the four-year Covid pandemic had a negative impact on Hong Kong’s laundry industry. The Hong Kong Laundry Industry Services Association made efforts to reflect the difficulties faced by the government through various channels and successfully won two cash grants for the industry. Depending on the size of the enterprise, cash grants range from more than 100,000 to more than 1 million, which solves the urgent need.

Conclusion

At present, the total number of members of the association is more than 200, including individuals and enterprises, of which 25% are mainland members. Therefore, in order to better serve members in mainland of China and strengthen the relationship with the laundry industry in mainland China. They established Shenzhen Ganglian Laundry Service Co., Ltd. on 26 October 2024 to further promote work in the mainland of China.
